Dear all, pls be informed that our first aid class will be held this coming Saturday(28th March 2009) starting at 8am. Trainers and AJKs are expected to gather by 7.30a.m.
Lesson plan for the day is as follows:
L1 Introduction to first aid
- What is first aid
- Why?(3 P)
(30 minutes)
L4 Circulatory disorder- Wound and bleeding and L5 Dressing and Bandage
- Type of wound
(30minutes)
- Do practical
(1 hour)
L9 Injuries to Bone and Soft Tissue
- Type of fracture – 30 minutes
- Fracture Bandaging (practical) – 1 hour
Q&A - 30 minutes
VADs, pls RSVP your attendance by this Friday. VADs who are attending are required to wear / bring your full uniform as we will be taking your passport sized photos for record purposes after the first aid class. Photos for members will be taken on Wednesday (school's badan beruniform day.
To all camp committees, there will be a post mortem for our 3rd divisional camp this Friday from 12.30pm - 1.15pm. All camp committees are required to hand in your camp review (how you feel about the camp and which areas you think can be improved) to Soon Huat / email to me at yilianz90@gmail.com by Thursday.
There will also be a trainers' discussion this Friday from 1.15p.m. - 2.30p.m., VADs whom are able to help with first aid training are encouraged to come.AJKs, pls form a team of trainers of 7 - 10members who have passed the First Aid exam minimum 2 times, must consist of both Form 5s and Form 4s. All trainers must be well-versed and have practical experience in first aid. This team's attendance is compulsory for the trainers' discussion this Friday.
Note to chairperson (and all AJKs): 1. Pls hand in the names for the trainers' team to me by Wednesday.2. Pls post up the schedule for this Saturday's Gerko.3. I need to know the estimated number of members+recruits for notes-photostating purposes. Notes used starting from this year are created by our area officers and will be standardised for all divisions. Pls let me know by Wednesday ya.Thanks! =D
